Highlights From Recent Meets!

Over the last month, Team Santa Monica has done extremely well at three qualifying meets. ISCA Elite Showcase, Pacific Committee Championships, and Spring Sectionals. 

Starting with ISCA Elite in Mission Viejo, we had 12 athletes qualify and had every single athlete make it back for finals! TSM had tons of personal best times, new Spring Junior Olympic cuts and great swims. Zachary Tower went the Top Time in the Nation by over 7 seconds in the 1000 yard free for his Age Group. In his other events, he was in the Top 5 in California. Overall, with only 12 swimmers, TSM came in 5th place! 

Pacific Committee Championships at Rose Bowl was another great meet for our swimmers. We had some new Spring Junior Olympic Cuts, and personal bests. A good number of swimmers made it back for finals, some making finals for the first time. 

At Sectionals, Adam Shaaban and Lena Siering both got their first Open Water Jr. Nationals cut, Alan Shaaban got a new sectionals cut in the 1650 and everyone dropped time!
